There are many creative uses for condoms, but here’s a newer one (at least I guess it’s new): Apparently Cape Town football players use them as a sort of rubber band to secure and keep up their football socks.
You will find that in most instances players bring a box of condoms to a match and share them among teammates for the same purpose.
The reason for this is simple. Many of the Cape Town township players couldn’t afford better quality football socks that would stay up during the matches. Often condoms can be obtained free which is an added bonus.
